This typecase construction matches the Hebrew Common case of van Winkle: The Printers Guide (1818) and Johnson: Typographia (1824) and Hansard: Typographia (1825). Johnson's equivalent cases for using points (vowels) are Moxon Upper and Johnson Lower.

This Common case has 40 boxes, but MacKellar in 1870 shows a Common case with 61 boxes.
