This English layout is given in H.W.Caslon & Co: Specimens of Printing Types, 1897 and differs slightly from the later version given by Millington, in respect of the position of j k and numerals and ligatures.

Note that the diagram is slightly distorted, eg all the boxes in the first column should be the same size. The empty case configuration is Improved Double. The earlier Double of Southward (1882) had 7 rows ie 49 boxes in the upper case bay, and a later Improved version of Miller & Richard (1895) has 5 rows of boxes, ie 35 boxes.
