This U.S. lay matches that given in American Type Founders, American Line Type Book (1906), and Barnhardt Bros & Spindler, Book of Type Specimens No.9 (1907) and Hamilton Manufacturing Company, Modern Cabinets, Furniture and Materials for Printers, Catalog 14 (c.1907) and Modern Printing Office Furniture Catalog 15 (1922) and Printing Plant Equipment, Type Storage Section Catalog 16 (c.1932) as model 2755. It is also the model 12755 of Thompson Cabinet Co, Equipment for Printing Plants Catalog 47 (c.1949). The lay does not quite match the lay of the normal Yankee Job or the Two Third version. The empty case is Double Yankee. Hamilton claim that although the case can accommodate two complete founts, the box sizes allow ample finger room.
