This U.S. typecase configuration is shown by Hague: Textbook of Printing Occupations (1922) and is the Model 2770 Triple case of Hamilton Manufacturing Co: Modern Printing Office Furniture, Catalog 15 (1922) and Printing Plant Equipment, Type Storage Section, Catalog 16 (c.1932), and American Type Founders: Catalogue (1923), and the Hamilton case of Polk: The Practice of Printing (1926 and 1937), and the model 12770 of Thompson Cabinet Co: Equipment for Printing Plants Catalog 47 (c1949) and the Thompson Triple Case (12770-T) of Missouri-Central Type Foundry: Price List (1959) and the case of Kelsey: Printers Supply Book (1969) and the Hamilton Triple Case (2770) of American Printing Equipment & Supply Co: Catalog (1983 and 1987). The case has three bays of 7 x 7 boxes, with three of the rows having larger boxes than the others, unlike eg. the Harpel (1870) and Miller & Richard (1873) and early ATF (1906) version, where all the rows are the same size, as also they are in ATF's Quadruple of 1923.

A possible lay is the Hamilton Triple.
