This German lay was in the collection of In de Bonnfant, 2004. The empty case configuration is German Latin. The lay has some similarities with the German/Swiss Latin lay shown by Hostettler in 1963, but Hostettler shows accented upper case, Æ etc., in the lower rows with accented lower case in the higher rows. As with most variations, j J p etc., are in different positions.

The spacing shown is normally starke, drittel, viertel, haar and halbgevierte and gevierte. The i box should be shown larger, being 2/3 the size of the adjacent m box. The spacing box beneath i should thus be smaller.
