This Italian case is the Neapolitan model shown by Gallavrini: Tipocomposizione (1966) as part of a course of instruction published by Associazione Culturale Progresso Grafico, Torino. It has 109 boxes, 60 in the upper and 49 in the lower section. By contrast, a normal English upper has 98 boxes, and a lower has 53 boxes (54 in U.S.). The normal Double has 49 upper plus 53 lower, ie 102 boxes.

Note that the Neapolitan case has four rows of fifteen boxes in the upper bay, and only the lower bay has a central partition. Gallavrini shows two other cases, Romano with four rows of fourteen boxes, and Veneto with four rows of sixteen boxes, both with a central partition, and two others, Siciliano with four rows of fifteen, and Rossi with four rows of nineteen boxes, both with an off-centre partition.
