This Spanish typecase lay is shown by Morato in Guía Práctica del Compositor Tipógrafo (New edition 1933). It differs from the Caja Normal layout shown in Enciclopedia Vniversal Illvstrada (1928) in having one more small box in the top row of the lower case, and fewer small boxes in the bottom two rows. Also, in the upper case, the accents and ligatures are arranged differently. Note the k and w in the upper case bay, and the position of h and i, compared to English lays.

The box with ¦ represents a single dagger. The o a are superiors. The spacing boxes are for espacios gordos, finos, cuadrats, etc. and m.l is for med lineas. The empty case is Caja Española.
