This U.S. configuration is shown in American Type Founders, American Line Type Book (1906), and Barnhardt Bros & Spindler, Book of Type Specimens No.9 (1907) and the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, Modern Cabinets, Furniture and Materials for Printers, Catalog 14 (c.1907) and is the Hamilton Model 2785 of Hamilton Manufacturing Co, Modern Printing Office Furniture, Catalog 15 (1922) and American Type Founders, Catalogue (1923) and Hamilton Manufacturing Co, Printing Plant Equipment, Catalog 16 (c.1932). It is also the model 14 of Caslon, Printing Types and Catalogue of Materials (1925) and the model 12785 of Thompson Cabinet Co, Equipment for Printing Plants Catalog 47 (c.1949). The lay is Figure.

Palmer & Rey show a similar Figure case in their 1892 Specimen, as does American Type Founders: Blue Book (1895), but neither have the central partition. There is also a B.B.& S. version, which has 7, rather than 6, boxes in each row, and a Hamilton Byerly Figure case of 1907, with four rows of boxes.
