This typecase was used by Oxford University Press, but is now (2026) at Hurst Street Studios in Oxford. No manufacturer is evident, so it may have been made by the Press. It is intended for storing large quantities of type, this particular one for capitals and points of Times Bold 10pt. It is built with small wheels under the base, allowing for easy movement. It also projects 5 inches on either side at the rear (not shown in the above diagram). The actual case measures 21 by 30 inches and is 7 inches deep.
