This English layout is the Caps case given by Lindley in Appendix 1 of Lindley & Maggs: Basic Printing - Letterpress for the Beginner (1970, and rev. ed. 1983). It combines upper and lower case in one upper case, rather than in a double case. There is also an Improved British Printing Society version.

The boxes with A, etc are small caps. Note that some boxes contain more than one character, and AE and OE are not specified.

The case measures 32½ x 14¼ inches and the empty configuration is that of Moxon, and Johnson (1824), Mackellar (1885), Southward (1887), Barnhart Bros & Spindler's News (1890s), Stephenson Blake & Co (1922), Miller & Richard (same period), Caslon (1925) etc.
